I always gush about @ZLabe and his account, because for one thing it makes the data he works with more accessible (via #ActivityPub), but secondly because the #infographics he stares are very informative - and consistent.

Are there any other #science, #edutainment and #infographic accounts on the #fediverse that has similar consistent and qualify of posts? Think content that is fairly easily digestible during a scroll.

We're looking for the accounts that #TeachTheFediverse.

With things going the way they are in the "So Called*" USA I'm looking to snag a few used laptops to setup so we can supplement my kids #education (ideally just supplement, although with my lack of luck job hunting its not like I couldn't homeschool if I had to.).

Anyway looking at most "Educational" #linux distros they don't really seem that necessary. It honestly looks like it'll be easier to setup #Fedora or whatever and then add edu software as needed. Especially vintage "#Edutainment"

Anyone want this educational 007 Tomorrow Never Dies promo/teaching CD? I think I can ship it as oversized so just a simple stamp!

Featuring beautiful 320x240 resolution 15fps Cinepak video clips of the movie! (And they only used ~300MB of the entire CD!!!)

recorded a demo of one of the most underrated edutainment titles of the 90s. i found this on an old cd-rom today! magazine cover disc.

Undersea Adventure is a multimedia interactive translation of jacques cousteau's book, The Random House Atlas of the Oceans

despite the game being aimed at much younger kids, i played with this as seriously as i did wolf3d and ultima 7 when i was a teenager.

one of the values knowledge adventure games had, that i rarely saw in other more didactic educational games - is an attention to making the entire experience hypertextual. you can click on anything and everything, and it will always take you some new interesting place.

⏳ Time traveling to the present (Planet Dyne S2024E02)

news.dyne.org/planet-dyne-s202

In the midst of recapitulation-season, a fresh issue of Planet Dyne is landing in your super calculator. Take a look at the future in 4D, leaning on the past & enjoying the moment.

This #edutainment post, handwritten by a human dyne, will neither list the 10 worst #pizzas of 2023, nor give you a hint on the unbelievable things that happened next. But hopefully, it will make you want to subscribe

And so, good morning. It is a new day, first of my favourite season technically, and it feels like fresh air indeed to be starting anew in the Fediverse. I'm finding my way and planning how to be interesting as I explore my story and yours here, which means I obviously still have work all over the corpverse - but by way of #introduction to my work and worldview, this is my current hello film:

@saluki

This was inevitable. Google already made it impossible to block #YouTube ads on mobile and Android TV, this was just the next logical step. :thisIsFine:

As for #tilvids we don't have ads, don't know what extensions you have installed, and never will because that's none of anyone's business. Just come over and enjoy some great #edutainment content! And if you need a mobile experience, #newpipe does a pretty good job! 💙
