Paula 🏴¡Qué rápido pasa el tiempo! ya ha pasado marzo, y me he acordado de que el año pasado hice un cartel con la programación musical del bar Plan 9 de Murcia, donde realizan eventos y pinchadas de música en vinilo todos los fines de semana.<br>
En el momento de realizarlo estaba aprendiendo muchas cosas sobre el arte modernista del s. XIX y sobre el diseño gráfico de las Arts and Crafts y esa voluntad y cariño por las artes manuales y artesanas. Además de que la estética Art Nouveau me encanta, y si se mezcla con el rollito psicodélico queda bien guapota.<br>

El cartel está completamente hecho a mano, con una posterior digitalización. Los materiales empleados fueron rotuladores con base de alcohol, rotuladores con base de agua, lejía, rotuladores calibrados de colores, algún lápiz de color, y pasteles.<br>
<br>
La verdad es que me sentí muy satisfecha con mi creación y con todo el trabajo que me costó hacerlo, así que me apetecía enseñároslo.<br>

concretelibraries<p>Tweebronnen Public Library, Leuven, Belgium. </p><p>This library occupies the former Leuven Technical School compound, designed by renowned Modernist architect Henry van de Velde and built between 1937 and 1940. When the school closed in 1984, the building stood vacant until a grassroots campaign managed to save it. Trevor<p>New project! I've been wanting to try concrete sculpture for a while - there are some incredible artists doing miniature brutalist objects that I'm enamoured with, but it wasn't until this recent surge of pride in the Canadian identity that I finally decided what to make. Based on Stuart Ash's design for the Centennial Commission's logo from 1965, I've retained the 11 equilateral triangles but removed the stem, and have added some depth to the design. The goal is to have the design shift and change as lighting conditions change, but always retain the shape of the leaf. This will be 3D printed, then I'll make a silicone mold, and finally I'll cast in in concrete.
