Hey All, been a little while since I mentioned anything about Transverse Tempo, but there will be a new episode coming out soon (middle of the month-ish).

I am really excited to piece all the lovely tracks that various people have given me permission to play for you all. My thanks to them.

One thing I don't think I mentioned before, but I am aiming for the show to be a regular monthly thing :)

Wishing you all well, cheers for now!

Transverse Tempo – A New Show

A new radio show called Transverse Tempo has been launched on Audio Interface.

It brings ‘downtempo, trip-hop, chill wave and tracks that sit somewhere above ambient’ presented by the lovely smooth tones of Chris (@CCirco) – who was also recently in the news for featuring on the Comfy Collaborations album released last week.

The first episode is 50 minutes / nine tracks of lovely sounds including Fedi musicians Endless Blue (@endlessblue), Key13 (@keefmarshall), Ordos Mk.0 (@ordosmarkzero) and socool (@socool).

Chris says he finds a lot of the tracks he’ll be featuring in the Transverse Tempo shows from the indieart.support website (@hello).

Audio Interface (@audiointerface) was set up by Xylander (@xylander) and has a focus on unsigned and independent electronic music. Indeed our very own monthly mixtapes radio show also features on the station.

Tour de studio pt 3: Now it's time to introduce some of the main pieces of equipment. First and foremost my audio interface - RME Fireface, solid, reliable and easy to use audio interface that sounds great. Next up is my mid 2011 iMac which has been a bit roughed up after a burglary... Despite it's age it is actually surprisingly up to the task, however it'll probably be the next thing to be replaced. Other than these, there is 2 effect maschines my kaospad II from Korg and a Boss digital delay... #homestudio #audiointerface #music #musicproduction #electronic #gear

My #AudioInterface appears to have made its final #BonkWave offering as it won't hold sample rate any more. What am I to consider for my next option for #ElectronicMusic production under #Windows with an eye towards moving to #Linux (or #DualBoot )? I use #Bitwig #VCVRack and less often #Reason. I'd like 4-6 I/O 24-bit 48kHz is fine. I am looking at the MOTU M4 as I have used the same brand (and interface) for my own #music for more than 25 years.

Hello #fediverse who among you is using #ubuntustudio ? Or another music recording friendly #distro .

Looking for advise, tips for #MultiTrack band rehearsal recording and #preproduction

How is the driver support? Will i be able to install a #Tascam US18x8 #AudioInterface ?

Is 32bit float a hype or the way to go?

Thinking of using #Bandlab so everyone can access the tracks from home. That worked with previous phone recording during Covid.

My RME UCX audio interface has died after 11 years of service. I’ll probably replace it with the UCX II, but I’m interested in alternatives. Arturia’s AudioFuse 16Rig looks suitable for my studio (mostly line level, some synths & CV, a couple of mics) but it uses the default Core Audio driver (on Mac). Is that good enough?

What other audio interfaces do people recommend?
