“Blue Egret in the mangrove”

The Blue Egret mainly frequents shallow inland wetlands: marshes, ponds, lakes, flooded meadows and rice paddies. But it can also be found in brackish or salty environments such as mangroves and sheltered mudflats along the coast.

The Blue Egret feeds mainly on aquatic arthropods, particularly crabs, which abound in the mangroves.

New Kit Day

Been a bit of an up and down couple of weeks, MRI showed there isn't a shadow in my head the CT scan showed. But C1 to C6 discs are mush 😅

So treated myself to a lens I have wanted for a long time, been after a decent zoom for a while (would love a 500mm but cost 😆).

Heck of a range of focus, nice focusing and colours etcs are nice. Will play a bit more when it's not doing a 'Cumbria Spring' weather day.

We had a great start, nice and cool, planning to hit a woody trail at a county park. But...when we got there, we got immediately attacked by a swarm of mosquitos, gnats, etc. We tried to walk for 2 minutes but we were getting eaten alive. We gave up and hit the grocery store, and came home. After my breakfast, we went to another county park where bug risks were much lower. The only problem was it was already very warm as you can tell from Kengo's tongue. Now we're resting in the cool house.
