Oof, this was harder than I thought!
I definitely learned a few lessons here. I made like 4 test prints on scrap paper, 1 on a different paper to test and 18 on the intended paper in about 3 hours 😅
And not all of them are good. Some had way too much ink and some are splotchy. I will take a closer look tomorrow. For now the prints are drying and I'll go to bed.

Lino printing plate vs. proof on scrap paper.
It should get blacker during the next passes. But for now I will stop here since I need to do my chores too. 😂
I could do the cutting all day long, it's so fun and relaxing. I'm happy with the result.
I wonder if I should keep the plate as it is or clean it though. I think I will print tomorrow.
Still wondering how many prints I should make.

Printing plate on top and a print of it on the bottom. A crow against a background of hills and a sark sky. I used black ink but the print isn't fully dark yet, the linoleum seems to drink a bunch if the ink.

I sketched this out yesterday and dreamed of crows last night. The last linocut I made was in school.

I'm a bit disappointed. I was asked to make this design and spent many hours on this but have been ghosted for about six months now.
Today, I decided to finally release this into the void. My best guess is, that the cancellation of #OurFlagMeansDeath is somewhat complicit in why I was left hanging, despite several tries to get in touch.
So, enjoy this linocut and maybe you like it :)
