I finally started and finished a #woodworking project that I've been wanting to make for a couple years, a garden box! This project used >80% recycled wood using the fence boards from my childhood home. Only power tool used was the drill to assemble the sides. Didn't use any plans either, just kinda winged it. It stands 4 feet tall with the box being 18" x 36" x 13"

Been staring at this tableau-style carving, impressed by the perspective in such a shallow space. It occurs to me that flat-panel carvings like this are done in the opposite way oil paintings are. The latter is typically done farthest to closest, but wood panels must be approached closest to farthest. That seems quite hard.

This work, not mine, is three boards glued edgewise, measuring 38 x 28 cm, and 3,5 cm thick.

(Can’t figure those circles on back.)

Ok gonna bore the front two leg holes, then seat those legs, then remove the wedges and do the read leg holes, and then (try) to shrink the wedges and fit them. #woodworking

Mortises going through battens nearly done, but still need fitting with the tenons. While trying to get it to fit the (cherry) backsplat split a bit so glued it back together and added a couple screws to reinforce it. #woodworking

Preparing fence posts for a new 95-metre stretch of fencing. I'm working with larch—tough, durable stuff that’ll last for decades once the splint wood is removed. Each post is shaped by hand with care, aiming for precision and consistency. It’s slow, physical work, but there's real satisfaction in seeing the pile grow. These posts will form the backbone of the fence—solid, straight, and made to endure.

My newest #woodworking project is a fairly large Arbor for one of my wife's many gardens. I have made numerous mistakes already, so it is slow going. I must have been blind when I selected the wood as it is full of giant knots and other defects, Grrrr. And I pre-cut the side slats all 1/8" to 1/4" too short, so remaking all of them cut to fit, like I should have done in the first place.

Yes it is fun, but the self-induced glitches are certainly frustrating. Pics T/K when it looks decent.
