14 KM of #Running (-7°C, -16°C windchill, 90% humidity, and 36 KM/H wind, gusting to 50 KM/H).
Good workouts, and what a difference from yesterday - welcome to spring in #Ottawa! Everything is covered in snow again, and the wind was very gusty and blowing snow everywhere. Lots of slush near roads too.
It was tough, my shoes got wet, but it was absolutely beautiful to run in.
My biggest issue with upper body muscle training has always been soreness and recovery. It takes me almost a week before I can lift weights again without pain. By comparison, my legs recover much faster and are usually much less painful. This time, I’m trying to mitigate the soreness by regularly using a massage gun before the pain even settles and paying attention to my protein intake. I also found that running helps as it keeps my body active and makes me move my arms and shoulders #WorkOut

Lovely morning walk in the rain to brunch, then did some #MealPrep for the week making two batches of soup.
1) Potatoes, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, and yellow peppers.
2) Potatoes, corn, and red peppers.

i usually use thick yoga blocks - not only for yoga but also a lot for calisthenics and stretching too. the thick ones are more stable and i find them a lot more comfortable. lately i have seen them only in Prisma (Finland) and they also have the cork blocks - they feel different but also very good and from what i saw, they are the cheapest there. 9.99 per one block. i didn´t check prices in internet though.
but if you need couple of blocks right now - i´d recommend these ones.

5.4 KM of #Running (Light rain, 2°C, 85% humidity, and 29 km/hr wind).
Started day finally getting back to my 14 day sleep goal, then about four hours of readings in my comfy chair sipping tea.
Finally went out into the cold rain for another attempt at a Zone 2 run; some improvement over last week (~60% in Z2). Interesting experiment.
