@whitepaperkat Thanks for your post about #pubsub and #commutiny
I cannot find it on my mastodon instance, so I cannot reply to it..
@roughnecks I wonder why did they block my instance
@whitepaperkat I don't believe it's blocked, but when I click to view your recent posts from your profile, only 2 of them are available to me..
@roughnecks It must be a bug or something I'm not exactly using mastodon. I'm using something that's compatible with it and on top of that this is all being hosted off a raspberry pi. 4 in a basement
@whitepaperkat most likely, yes. I read about your post from a #RSS bot I run on an #XMPP #MUC! Go figure :)
@whitepaperkat
I guess it's usual for mastodon itself and the way it federates: you can see only the posts stored in your instance, that retrieves only the ones posted when the user is connected with someone in the instance, or the reboosted/liked posts. Those posts could be seen in the federated timeline.
Unfortunately the same happens with posts in reply... It's a mess.
Somehow an instance can expand the federation with some tools (called relays?), and that are useful for small instances.
