If Poillievre comes within, say, 1000 votes of losing his riding, that would be a massive blow to the CPC’s credibility.

But If Poillievre loses his riding, that would be… a revelation worthy of a mark in Canadian history as one of the greatest falls from likely Prime Minister to outsider, ever.

What a fantastic possibility we have.

If you live near Ottawa and are not helping oust him, consider your weekend plans 😃

ottawacitizenPierre Poilievre in a horse race in Carleton as gap with Liberal candidate tightensConservative Leader Pierre Poilievre’s long-held riding of Carleton has turned into a horse race in the final days of the election campaign.

Thank you to BC Municipal Affairs Minister and Burnaby-Deer Lake MLA Anne Kang for endorsing team Re-Elect Bonita Zarrillo

"I’ve seen firsthand how hard Bonita works for her community. She’s a passionate advocate for accessible dental care, stronger healthcare, and affordable housing — and she delivers. Her commitment, integrity, and results-driven approach make her an invaluable voice in Parliament. I’m proud to stand with Bonita and endorse her re-election #elxn45 #canpoli #cdnpoli

Last thing I want in my Prime Minister is drama. It was the 1st thing I thought of when Trump was re-elected. We'd get all that drama -- everyday something new -- that came in his first 1st term returning. It was so nice when Biden took over, all the drama ended, Biden just got to work. PP means drama, "Canada is broken" "Carbon Tax Carney", end of 'woke ideologies' etc. Division at every step. No, I don't want that. I want stable, informed leadership that just gets the job done. #elxn45

"I miss the Progressive Conservative Party. They weren't my preferred party, but I never *worried *when they formed govt. You knew you'd be okay even if a few of your preferred things didn't happen.
But since 2003, when Peter McKay allowed them to be taken over by Harper's Alliance, the Conservatives have been unrecognizable as something Canadian.
Now they're essentially a regional Alberta/Sask party. The needs of the rest of the country are secondary."

Haven't updated my spreadsheet of polls for the past week because, well it didn't change much! The only question left is only if these polls match the outcomes on Monday. We'll see!

Nationally, it's hard to argue that anything has changed at all from the beginning of the Election to now. (These polls go up to Tuesday the 22nd).
LPC: ~43%
CPC: ~39%
NDP: ~8%
BLC: ~5%
GPC: ~3%
PPC: ~3%

In Quebec it is only slightly more interesting with the Liberals coming down 5% or so from their highs over 50%. But.. that's it.

LPC: ~42%
BLC: ~28%
CPC: ~28%
NDP: ~6%
GPC: ~3%
PPC: ~2%

You cannot let a cowardly residential school denier become the person that represents you in Ottawa! Make sure you get out and VOTE!

"Aaron Gunn should not actually be allowed to run in this election because of not only his radical right views but the fact that he isn't actually a North Islander. Sorry to say, but we need representation for the North Island people, and the Conservatives have parachuted this candidate who has no business coming here thinking he can represent us and know what we need. What we need is community, and we need someone who is going to represent our youth and our marginalized communities."

Campbell River Mirror · Indigenous-led rally at Spirit Square calls for Aaron Gunn's removal as candidateBy Brendan Jure

Current 338 projections are 8 seats for the NDP, I still think this is an underestimate, but even if it isn’t…

The Liberal party is projected to win 186. That would be a modest 14 seat majority. It is well within reason that the Liberals miss out, 15-20 go to the CPC (still not near enough for PP to have power) and Carney comes up just short of majority.

It would be deeply ironic then if the NDP, after all the talk of “collapse” and “oblivion”, once again held the balance of power.

@canadianglen I think the FN aunties really were there yesterday, Glen - they object to Gunn's denial of FN residential school genocide & of the gender pay gap & his anti-abortion, anti-LGBTQ2+ views

But there was a fake news story accusing FN NDP candidate Tanille Johnston of “bussing in activists from Victoria” to protest outside his office a week ago and Gunn retweeted it before it was retracted 😏 #Elxn45 #bcpoli

Looks like only one or some Campbell River Chamber of Commerce board members/directors colluded with Aaron Gunn to cancel the all candidates meeting and other board members are going public about it. #Elxn45 #bcpoli
Philip Kountouris, Chamber president, cancelled the meeting and then resigned yesterday.
Gunn hasn't attended any of the other 3 all candidates meetings in the riding either.

The Conservatives republished their platform with a commitment to crack down on ‘woke ideology’ in the public service and federal funding for research. Since Trump took office, he has ended all DEI programs, laid off staff, vowed ‘to end wokeness’ in education, and even targeted museums. #elxn45

It would be awesome if the voters in Carleton fired Pierre PoiLIEvre!
