Berlin-Neukölln is on Turkish territory
and therefore of course belongs to the umbrella organization
DİTİB, i.e. the Ministry of Religion of Turkey.
The mosque stands in a Muslim cemetery, which the Prussian king Friedrich Wilhelms III. had given to the Ottoman Empire in 1866.
