Rooting for #TeamOrca
(why the hell I don't have any orca emoji here??)
Imagined and created it long time ago, but it's always good time to sink some yachts. right? And I thought I didn't see any Team Orca logo unfortunately, and felt I would need it.
@lislegaard for me it would be a raspberry pi with screen and audio shield. Sadly I still haven’t set this up, but it would be fun to do so.
It would not be meant as a DAW but as a multi purpose computer. Either for controlling hardware via midi and OSC, with #orca, #midiTracker and #pureData but also as multi effect unit (also of) and potential synth voice.

Bonus 4G signal range as we round one of Norway's outer island bits right now just to say that we did see the aurora from our balcony last night but, more spectacularly for us, today we saw an orca surface about fifty metres from our balcony. Anyway, Leknes tomorrow, but a shorter visit than planned to avoid the worst of a strengthening wind. More when we're ashore.
After wondering why the screen reader wasn't working with Flatpak versions of Chromium and GNOME Web, I figured I should document this somewhere

NEW BABY ORCA!!! Only a few days to weeks old.
The orca is the great-great-grandbaby of *one* Orca named Wake who was one of 6 orcas captured by the Vancouver Aquarium in 1976 to be put on display. But after a court battle, they were released, and this *one* Orca is now the matriarch of 6% of the *entire* remaining southern resident Orca population!
Watch the video of the new baby here!

AI - Artificial Intelligence , on board ships
Unfortunately, AI is gaining ground in almost every environment
Orca AI’s SeaPod
The system should help reduce the risk of collision at sea , the AI assesses imminent risks and warns the operator (Bridge Officers on watch)
The system consists of 8 ultra high resolution cameras, a monitor, and a computer (Ubuntu Desktop with Nvidia GPU) , and It is not connected in any way to the ship's automation.
As we know artificial intelligence, it must learn, it must be trained. This system processes more sources of information, and gets smarter every day.
One of my colleagues at the art supply / frame shop I work at, her boyfriend is Haida (an indigenous person of the Pacific Northwest Coast of North America). I love Haida & Tlingit art! So before I retire next week I paid him for a print of this Orca. Today I printed it out & framed it. I'm very happy with how it turned out! He (Alex) is a very talented artist! (Phone photo.)
#3 Xsodect - Torn Leaf
Originally made for @TodePond around a year ago
I tried to expand the track but was only making it worse, so apparently it's already perfect. Updated visuals a little and the leaf itself.
