I remember a decade back we'd be thronging parks, spring fests, scheduling all sorts of outdoor events this time of the year.
Its been "no later than Feb" for a few years now. Thats what makes this #spring surprising - still blooming in April
Not to take away from the ongoing South-East Asian #heatwave, a 54C (130F) real feel temp is unsurvivable!
Wrapping up the thread, the most fragrant and most prolific bloom in my roof garden - the "Indian #Rose" aka "Desi Gulab".
Any time my mom wants to "freshen up" the house, she just plucks a couple of these and brings them in lol.
This plant survives any heatwave thrown at it, but its blooms dont.

Sowed a bunch of "wildflowers" hoping they might bloom despite the heatwaves, so Id have at least something blooming.
But unexpectedly spring arrived right after the heatwave, and they ALL germinated!

The combination of the fragrant trio: Carnations, Star-Jasmines, and Arabian Jasmines, gives such a pleasant fresh flowery scent to the entire place.

So Spring finally visited Lahore after 2 whole years of relentless heatwaves.
Im not going to get into how its also been unseasonally wet and cold and damaging to hundreds of acres of crops.
