Today I'll be helping the players of my RIFTS game convert their characters to #GURPS keeping the same setting. Support for #Palladium in #FoundryVTT is just way too limiting for my taste.

Ever? I'm a game slut, but probably Palladium (Fantasy/TMNT/Beyond the Supernatural/Rifts/Phase World) has the most hours over the last 40-ish years, even tho I've done only one N&S minicampaign and some After the Bomb in the last decade. But I have the new TMNT kick coming, so it may be back on the table.
It doesn't have to be perfect to be fun. Loose rules & a skill list you can add to, are good enough.

Rifts Ultimate Edition (which isn't as good as the original) even has the OCC used in this game, it's an overpowered mess, nobody allows it.

Systems Failure is their best game ever, very short & fast, militia/bikers vs Y2K bugs (actual giant electrical bugs). I've run a bunch of it, it's awesome for short campaigns.
Splicers is Guyver-ish, making a suit is way too much work, but with the adventure now it might be worth plowing thru.
Dead Reign is just your zombie survival, but it's *really* hard. Like massive power-up of the zeds. You fuck up in it, it's a TPK.

I've owned a pair of #Palladium Travel lite #boots for about a month now and here's my take on them:
Price: these cost me £120 including shipping, the price varies between £70 and £140 online, I bought direct from Palladium to avoid getting fakes.
Build: These are crazy lightweight, the foam rubber sole is the heaviest part of them, meaning it's like wearing nothing at all [nothing at all (nothing at all)]. The sole is seemingly a lightweight copy of US issued Jungle boots. They feel waterproof, the cat has already pissed in them and they didn't leak any out, so take that as you will. The fastening device is novel and a nice change from laces that get wet and hard to undo. The body is entirely synthetic canvas.
Lifespan: my hope is these will last me a year until I can afford a pair of smokejumpers or linesman boots, but I will hike in them a couple of times this winter to test them. I'm not expecting miracles as there is very little natural material in them, but for a casual boot that can handle some #hiking and trail walking they will do for now.

So this is interesting, #Palladium is going to Kickstart a new edition of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Other Strangeness. I'm on the fence about this (it's Palladium and I don't know what they're changing), but I definitely don't like colorizing the art. We should celebrate the B&W art of the 70s and 80s.
