On of my guilty pleasures is watching reaction videos on YT.
Basking in the praise of my own society [I'm Dutch]
Being a bit cocky I also like to write my own reactions to the reaction.
And now I share on Mastodon, how's that for a Droste-effect ?
My comments further below.

6 Lessons for teacher Paul [UK]
1st lesson: don't tell NYers what to do... The lesson, proven time and time again: create it and they will come. Create safe and fast infrastructure all over town and the bikers will show up, and be happy. [Not cultural at all, more like car brain at the helm.}
2nd lesson: Amsterdam has a long time history of POLITICAL WILL on safety and opposed, so called, faster cars. Later on public health was added to that WILL: less emission [pollution] and less noise.
3rd lesson: take traffic design seriously. That means the theory has to be adapted to new things learned. In the US, as far as I know, traffic design often works with far outdated data. And the study is averse to that adaptation. I wonder why ? Car brain ?
4th lesson; at 8:12 you did get an useful idea about the car industry's history. Why don't YOU fact check that ! Giving others your own homework, or is that what teachers do ?
5th lesson: there is no one key to fix it all. not even public transport. That's a common US problem: not being able to go slow but ALL IN. Always looking for the quick and easy fix !
6th lesson: the Dutch are not skinny ! They are healthy, eaten fresh food as well as cycling.
Conclusion: What ARE the good thing of NY traffic [the point of the video], huh ? Record deadths, pollution ? Hurray !
