Je suis de retour sur ma partition #ZorinOS.
Figurez-vous que cette fois ça n'avait rien à voir avec l'OS. La fiche du disque dur s'était déconnectée

So, I'm done testing: With #ZorinOS there really is no argument for not trying out #linux, if you use the basic functions most people use on a computer.
You have browser, e-mail, documents, photo-editing and more in a nice package, with an easy to use software installer.
For most people this will work just fine for a homecomputer. So buy a refurbished laptop, install Zorin and get yourself an EU mail/file hosting service. You will now be free from (US) tech giants and have your data secured.
@thinkroot99 I have installed #ZorinOS by more than 2 years, after about 5-7 years of trying many distributions. I like it. Stable. Smoothly. Happy.
Last thing for today is installing ZorinOS on my old Packard bell i3 / 3gb ... wonder how it's running ... replaced the laptop's hdd in a ssd before #zorinos
A great example for #DigitalSovereignty done right is the French city of @echirolles that not only signs declarations but also uses #FOSS in practice, like #ZorinOS, @bigbluebutton, @libreoffice, @nextcloud and @peertube.
European cities, take note.

Zorin OS 17.3 Release Replaces Firefox With Brave as Default Browser
—@itsfoss
「 We start off with Brave being the new default web browser on Zorin OS, marking a move away from Firefox. The developers did this citing concerns with a recent policy change by Mozilla, where they felt that Firefox no longer aligned with their values of protecting user privacy 」
#ZorinOS17.3:

Lol, I was right into thinking there was something "off" about #ZorinOS years ago when I was considering which #Linux distro to migrate away from #Windows. Shitty, reactionary decisions like this would turn me off so badly and seriously make me question their judgement. If they actually care about "privacy" and have issues with #Firefox (or rather, #Mozilla), something like #LibreWolf would've been a more natural choice rather than moving to a #Chromium based browser, as if #Google needs a stronger dominance in their web presence - let alone #Brave. https://youtu.be/pektPYhM7pw

@omgubuntu@floss.social Zorin OS, now supports, Nazis.
Imagine being a wealthy CEO who spends his time claiming women belong in the kitchen and should not have control of their own bodies. Or that same CEO claiming black lives do not matter. That same CEO claiming love is only love between a man and woman. That same CEO saying, both LGBTQ+ and trans folk suffer from mental illness. Furthermore, claiming that COVID was a hoax, vaccines kill people, and is a firm, Donald Trump supporter.
You probably think, I am talking about Elon Musk, and you likely support the idea of Tesla going bankrupt, as not to support a Nazi. But who I am actually describing is Brendan Eich, the founder and CEO of Brave Browser, but when you tell people that is the case, people will argue "that is different".

I've been using #ZorinOS for a lot of years now. It's safe to say I'm a fan. I'm looking forward to spending some time with this new release to get to know it better. It looks like there's some interesting new features. I'm not sure what I think of replacing Firefox with Brave, but it is what it is. I'd replace either with #Vivaldi anyway.
