Track 2: Mistakes were made
This is a love song of sorts, dealing with a relationship amongst two people who bring the worst out of each other. It’s about hating the person you became in that relationship and how you both said awful things to hurt one another despite the love for each other it’s sometimes better to let go

LANDR has approved the release of my album, so it's pushed it up to the streaming platforms. Should be up there in the next few days. Not sure how this will appear with the Distrokid release already up there. If anyone sees it as a duplicate please let me know. I'll be keeping my eyes open too.

Signed up on #LANDR today and began the process of migrating my album from #Distrokid. They have a migration process but it was a bit quirky, and I immediately got an email stating that it appeared much of the audio I had uploaded already existed online. No &^%$ Sherlock, I'm migrating it. Anyways, it's now "Under review" and we'll see how this process goes.

@mirlo we use #CDBaby because they charge a one time fee per release, where as #Distrokid used a subscription model (which is popular for doing a 'waterfall release').
We've released an EP and an album this way.
Two weeks ago we finally received our first streaming check, which almost covers the cost of distributing the firt EP. 7 years after the release date.. 
Financially this is not sustainable, for us.
It appears that DistroKid is engaging in union-busting. From UMAW:
"On Monday, Oct. 21st, DistroKid placed 37 employees, roughly 25% of its staff, on administrative leave, pending layoffs. This includes the entire full-time customer support staff and most of their quality assurance engineers. The employees who were placed on leave were all members of the DistroKid union, which had won its election in April with strong numbers."

For my latest solo release entitled 'a Moment of Solitude', I decided to build down towards a state of calm. Starting out with up-beat grooves and rhythmic elements, by the last few tracks it's relaxed, drum-free and hopefully puts you in a place of contemplation and thoughtfulness.

Don't think I'll bother renewing my #Distrokid subscription for another year.
I think instead of bothering with streaming platforms I'll focus on #bandcamp and maybe uploading to my own #YouTube channel.
I'll maybe take another look at streaming once I have a better idea of the musical direction I want to head. Maybe.
Also, #Spotify and their BS can do one.

When I uploaded #TheCrypt to #DistroKid and had to choose its genre, "Ambient" was not listed, so the closest genre I could find was "Holiday" as it's a #Halloween-themed release and I considered Halloween to be a "holiday".
However, I didn't realise that their definition of "Holiday" meant Christmas, and now both #AppleMusic and #Qobuz have my dark ambient track listed as "Christmas music"
