Watched the Villeneuve #DuneMovie this evening. He did a damn good job, though it does suffer from that modern thing where an entire 2.5hr movie is really just setting up the backstory for future sequels.

Enjoyed it though. Brings back lots of memories of my original reading of the book maybe 45yrs ago.

Denis Villeneuve has really done a remarkable job. He has made Frank Herbert's work his own, just as Lynch did in his day. And turned it into a totally cinematic work
