I’m a photographer from Germany and would like to share here some impressions from my travels. Feel free to join my journey
Here some winter impressions from the cold sunrise in Hamnoy, Lofoten Island in Norway
When I first visited here over a decade ago this scene in Lofoten was empty. Nobody came in the winter, except for a few silly photographers like Bruce Percy, and then me.
With each year the doubled and doubled. By 2020 it was a traffic jam on the Hamnøy bridge, shoulder to shoulder tripods and elbows.
One of my favourite moments in the far north. Had planned this two years in advance for the perfect moon and solar scenario. Moonlight auroras are my jam, but you need a decent showing to compete with the moon.
We'd had a lot of great showings that year, but this one was extra extra special. After standing out in the cold for an hour, we headed inside for hot chocolate and a jolly good laugh.
