There's a #house for sale in the old fishing village of Whinnyfold on the #Aberdeenshire #coast. The location, views & walks are stunning, with abundant local #wildlife including #seals and nesting #seabirds including guillemots, razorbills & kittiwakes. The #property includes a bothy with power & central heating which would make an excellent #workshop or #artist #studio.

The current owners wish to sell to full-time residents, not for it to become a holiday home.

Face to face : a portrait up, close and personal of a Cape Fur seal in Namibia.
It took me hours in cold water at Walvis Bay to get that shot. One thing that I do love is to get very close from wildlife (if they agree so ;-) )
Cape Cross Seal Colony, in Namibia, is the breeding place of the Cape Fur Seals, which are actually a species of Sea Lion.

Il m'a fallu des heures dans l'eau froide de Walvis Bay pour prendre cette photo.
La colonie de phoques de Cape Cross, en Namibie, est le lieu de reproduction des otaries à fourrure du Cap, qui sont en fait une espèce d'otarie.

It'a a portrait of a Cape Fur seal from the sea with an underwater housing. the seal is smelling the camera. It's really up, close and personal. I was laying on the water with small depth.

…The #NorthernBeringSea, off the coast of western #Alaska, is home to migrating #MarineMammals including bowhead & beluga #whales, #walruses & ice #seals, which are hunted by many Alaska Natives. In 2016, President Obama issued an executive order that prohibited #oil & #gas exploration across >112k square miles of marine habitat in the Northern Bering Sea & called for tribal co-management of the protected area.
