They're warm, tough and still allow you a reasonable amount of gripping. I can just about undo and re-thread the chainsaw bar nuts wearing them.
When handling wet things, they do eventually soak through, so it's good to have a few pairs in rotation while they dry. Although less so if you put enough grease and oil on them first
