We’re seeing the effects of a radical tariff policy hastily applied/uncoord/unfair. Trading PRs retaliated. C's lost trust in our econ policies +future power of the$. Investors grew wary & then angry. World: began to lose trust & confidence in the US as an econ ldr.

I watched trust deteriorate w sev of our EU PRs. The rot in the #economy & pol arenas tainted the MIL Trust: damaged.

With 6 emergency petitions challenging 4 different #Trump admin policies now before #SCOTUS, the coming days should provide a better sense of how Trump will fare there. The early indications are not good for the admin: the Court effectively rebuffed a request for emergency intervention involving #USAID, albeit by a vote of 5–4.
