L'uso dei #deepfake per propaganda/satira politica è, in piccolo, come l'uso di mine antiuomo o tortura o bombe atomiche o robot assassini. Non c'è un modo etico di usare strumenti simili, chi lo fa è semplicemente un incivile.

E in effetti i referenti geopolitici di Luca #Bottura dicono che mine antiuomo, tortura, bombe atomiche e robot assassini quando li usano loro sono giustificati, proprio come lui dice che il suo deepfake di Barbero è giustificato.

Possible benevolent use case for #deepfake audio tech: news media could train a system on a corpus of a person's utterances in both English and French. Then, when a speech delivered in one language is covered in a segment broadcast in the other, the translation is synthesized in his own voice. I think I'd find that easier to follow than the current practice of having the reporter read it aloud.
