Question, my colleague want's a small database with only a few tables ( #Mariadb / #mysql #sql ) - Data pushed with PowerShell Scripts

He also wants a small Web UI to search in this database with "basic" filtering

I've found #Adminer (adminer.org/de/) which looks simpler then things like phpMyAdmin

Is this a good choice ? thx

www.adminer.orgAdminer - Datenbank-Verwaltung in einer einzigen PHP-Datei Adminer ist für: MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, CockroachDB, SQLite, MS SQL, Oracle. Andere per Plugin verfügbar: Elasticsearch, SimpleDB, MongoDB, Firebird, Clickhouse.

I am throwing a fit trying to get the python mysql-connector installed.

pip gives me an error:
error: externally-managed-environment

× This environment is externally managed

How do I get this thing installed? So many of my programs use this.

Debugging App Engine PHP deployments with MySQL often involves local environment discrepancies. Okay, I'm a bit stumped. I have a small-ish ubuntu VM with the LAMP stack. Sometimes MySQL just goes away. No information why - not in the MySQL logs, not in syslog, nowhere. It just shuts down. It doesn't seem to be memory either, I've once had htop running while it happened and the machine was basically idle with more than half of the memory empty.

The most infuriating thing is: I had this on another VM before, I fixed it and I didn't write down how. Ugh.

#apache#linux#php

Huh... mysql-connector-python has changed the API for cursor.execute() in an incompatible way between versions 9.1.0 and 9.2.0 (by removing the "multi" parameter)? Without deprecation phase? And the documentation (dev.mysql.com/doc/connector-py) still states that it returns an iterator but actually one needs to call fetchall()?
Did not expect or desire this kind of yak shaving on a Saturday morning :-/

dev.mysql.comMySQL :: MySQL Connector/Python Developer Guide :: 9.3 Executing Multiple Statements

Hi, #Today I decided to try to #getfedihired — I've got many years of experience with web development, programming and production (#HTML, #CSS, #Javascript), I can make myself useful in anything on the open-source side of back end, i.e. the #Perl, #Python, #PHP, #MySQL, #Linux kind of area.

I live in #Sydney Australia and would be happy to work in-office, remote or hybrid.

Let me know of any opportunities, or pass this on to anyone else who might know of something? Thanks.

I can't really complain about the functionality of my brain synapses. It's just that with languages, they don't work the way I want them to. This also applies to programming languages – unfortunately.

My upcoming project requires data output. Of course, I'm familiar with the combination of #PHP and #MySQL, without being able to create both of them. I'm concerned about the how, since I won't be using any of the common monsters (WordPress, Drupal, etc.). I've heard of #frameworks and read various things about them, but – this is where it gets embarrassing – I just don't understand how to use them. However, I have a feeling they can help me [1]. Does anyone have any ideas how I can overcome my lack of understanding? #Linux #Programming #Database #json

#Linux #Programmierung #Datenbank #json
