Today on the family group chat, my better half has an opinion about people who orient Vancouver Island stickers incorrectly.
I don't torment her by taking photos of any and all poorly oriented VI stickers.. no... never.

Hello all, please consider signing this petition to pressure the Conservative Party of Canada to drop Aaron Gunn as the North-Island--Powell-River riding.
> A residential school apologist with a history of sexist and transphobic positions is running for the Conservatives in North Island—Powell River — and the polls have him in the lead.
Greatly appreciates any re-posting of this! Thank you!

Today is #InternationalBearDay They are one of my favourite subjects to photograph because of their different character as you can see in these photos. I enjoy capturing the lives of both black bears and grizzlies.
I took these photos on Vancouver Island with a telephoto lens and a respectful distance. Find these photos and more in my book Wild Vancouver Island.

Bald eagle looking after its eaglet (photo taken last year). After a 35-day incubation period, eggs should hatch at the end of the month on Vancouver Island. Looking forward to it!
Hey, did you know that today is #FrogFriday ? To celebrate, I present to you Western Toad (Anaxyrus boreas) seen here enjoying a swim in a shallow creek in the mountains on Vancouver Island.
To take this photo, I had to lie down across a muddy trail because I wanted to be at eye-level with this beautiful creature. Hikers had to step over me, confused by my odd behaviour.
