The simplest things are often the very things that make you feel alive 💚

I spent last weekend at a cabin in the woods with my friend Lissy and her golden retriever Morris, having good conversations, making pine needle tea, reading books, hiking long distances, climbing trees, and enjoying the sun. Even though my body ached a bit from all the walking, I couldn’t have been happier. We even found a partial deer skull (it’s on the last slide for those who don’t want to see it)! Going outside truly never gets old 🍃

The early signs of autumn

A recent image from the last week. I just love the pastel colours created by the mist. There are some signs of the change of season in pockets, mostly in the clearings or near water, but in the woods is at least another week away.

Here is hoping that Storm Ciaran doesn't take all the leaves off the trees. 🌬🍂

This is a very special quilt of mine, full of magic and womanpower 😍 I will thus never show it as a whole 😎 Whenever possible I take it with me and am still working on it, and will probably continue to do so for quite some time 🤣 On the top border is a sun and whenever I stay at a place which gives me insight and joy I quilt a new sunray for it, or another symbol capturing the energy of that special place.
