I suggest all of you try to invest time/efforts if you have similar friends in your personal circle. It's not easy but it's worthwhile to try to keep educating them on why their statements are colonial & harmful. It's important to keep encouraging them to do more decolonization works. Please avoid white saviour behaviours & please learn to listen better, to Indigenous voices & voices of vetted Indigenous comrades 🙏🦅❤️

Tödliche Polizeigewalt in Oldenburg

Am 20. April 2025 soll es angeblich vor einer Bar in Oldenburg eine Auseinandersetzung gegeben haben, bei der Lorenz, der zur BPoC Community gehörte, angeblich ein Reizstoffsprühgerät eingesetzt haben soll. Anschließend sei er geflüchtet und als ihn dann die Polizei antraf, soll er angeblich „bedrohlich“ auf sie zugegangen sein. Hieraufhin wurde mehrfach auf ihn geschossen, woraufhin er starb.

Bei der Obduktion stellte sich heraus, dass Lorenz ausschließlich von Schüssen von hinten getroffen wurde, darunter in den Kopf. Nun sind Schüsse, die ein Opfer von Polizeigewalt von hinten treffen, weder auf den ersten noch auf den zweiten Blick mit einer behaupteten Notwehrlage in Einklang zu bringen. Offenbar ist Lorenz von der die Schusswaffe einsetzten Person weggegangen und nicht „bedrohlich“ auf sie zu.

Rückblick in die 90er

Der Fall erinnert unter anderem an die Erschießung eines griechischen Staatsbürgers, der am 04.10.1996 in Nürnberg von einer bayrischen Polizistin in den Rücken geschossen wurde. Die behauptete, sie habe eine Waffe gesehen, gefunden wurde keine. Im Folgejahr wurde sie vom Amtsgericht zu einer geringen Geldstrafe verurteilt, 4.000 DM, wegen „Putativnotwehr“, d.h. einer wahnhaft angenommener Notwehrsituation. Diesen Fall tödlicher Polizeigewalt erwähne ich deshalb, weil er die Maßstäbe mit der die Justiz misst, besonders deutlich macht. Denn zwei Jahre später schickte ein (anderes) bayrisches Amtsgericht dem Liedermacher Hans Söllner einen Strafbefehl über 120.000 DM (nein, das Komma ist nicht verrutscht), da er die Ehre des damaligen bayrischen Innenministers Beckstein verletzt haben soll.

Demoaufruf in Oldenburg

Für den Freitag, 25. April 2025 wird nun in Oldenburg zu einer Demonstration aufgerufen, um an den Tod des 21-jährigen Lorenz in Folge polizeilicher Todesschüsse zu erinnern.
